We Change Lives, That's Not A Tagline, It's The Whole Reason We Exist

The Coaches In Your Corner

I'm Jonathan, the owner, founder, and head coach.

I'll be the voice pushing you a little harder than you'd push yourself, and the first one hyping you up when you hit a milestone.

You'll also train with Coach Genessy and Coach Brenda, who lead our Pilates and bring a whole lot of heart, patience, and know-how to the floor.

Different personalities, same standard.

We coach hard because we care, and we never forget there's a real person behind every rep.

Let me tell you how we got here.

Why I Built This Place

I spent years as a personal trainer inside a big corporate gym.

And I watched the same sad thing happen on repeat.

Good people, motivated and hopeful and ready to change, would sign up all fired up.

Then they'd slowly fade into a number on a spreadsheet.

Nobody learned their name.

Nobody noticed when they quietly stopped showing up.

The whole machine was built to sell memberships, not to actually help anybody get anywhere.

So then one day I'd had enough.

I left to build the gym
I always wished those people had

So Here's What Fit Camp LA Actually Is

  • It's a place where you're known by name from day one.
  • It's a coaching team that will push you past what you thought you could do, then catch you the second you wobble.
  • And it's a community that gets just as loud about the small wins... the first real push-up, the jeans that finally button, the Monday you showed up when every excuse in the book said stay home.

We're proud of our Whittier roots, and just as proud of the members who drive in from Downey, Norwalk, and Santa Fe Springs to train with us.

This is the fam.

And once you're in, you're in.

A Few Hills We'll Die On

  1. Motivation is overrated.

It shows up when it feels like it and bails the moment things get hard.

What actually works is accountability, a smart plan, and a room that expects you to walk through the door.

  2. Fitness should change your life, not just your appearance.

  3. Women should lift heavy, and no, you will not accidentally turn into the Hulk.

  4. Your age, your starting point, and every failed attempt before this one... none of it decides what you're capable of now.

  5. And the best gym on earth isn't the cheapest one or the fanciest one.

It's the one you'll actually show up to.
